Revenelle Gladue: The John Howard Society of Grande Prairie

The John Howard Society of Grande Prairie would like to nominate Revenelle Gladue for the Tim Hortons Volunteer of the Week!  She is a dedicated youth mentor who volunteers 2 hours every week to assist with preparation and implementation of one of our youth programs.  Revenelle’s compassionate nature and her empathic human spirit gives her the remarkable ability to connect with others and make them feel good about who they are.  She also demonstrates strong leadership skills and is a great role model for other youth.  The staff and youth are truly grateful for everything that Revenelle has contributed to the John Howard Society.  Thank you for brightening other people’s lives with your kind and generous heart Revenelle!

Tim Burnham: Grande Prairie Music Parents Association

The GPMPA would like to nominate Tim Burnham for his help with our association. Tim has great fundraising ideas and no problem with helping to get them rolling so that they can benefit our members. In addition he was able to help the majority of the parents of students participating in an international music festival with the paperwork needed to pursue such an adventure with the GPPSD.

Glenn Bitterman: Spinal Cord Injury Alberta

With a smile on his face, Glenn stepped in at the last minute to volunteer at the Swan City Rotary Cash and Camping Lottery Tent, Bingo on Mother’s Day and for a shift with the United Way Subway Golf Tournament.   Glenn is a paraglider with a zest for life in-spite of his spinal cord injury, and he’s been helping out with our Peers as well.  It’s great to have people to count on!  Spinal Cord Injury Alberta nominates Glenn for a big “Thank you!”

Shawn Penney: Odyssey House

Odyssey House nominates Shawn Penney as volunteer of the week. Shawn has been on the board of directors at Odyssey House for 5 years. He is generous with his time and always willing to offer support to the Executive Director and the rest of the board. He sits on multiple committees to ensure overall combined organization success. He asks thoughtful, challenging questions and brings a great sense of wit and humor to the team.
