Domivee Flor: Grande Prairie Centre for New Comers

Grande Prairie Centre for New Comers nominates Domivee Flor. Domivee started volunteering with us in 2016 in an administrative role. When our administrative assistant is not in the office she comes to the office and helps with reception duties. This work is crucial in helping us continue our daily activities because we are such a small organization. In addition to helping to relieve reception duties she also helps us with filing. Although her volunteer work is not glamourous it is incredibly important and we are so thankful to have you as a volunteer! You have such a professional and positive attitude and we just love you being a part of our team. Thank you Domivee!

Candice Radcliff: Grande Prairie Music Parents Association

Grande Prairie Music Parents Association would like to nominate Candice Radcliff as an outstanding volunteer. The GPMPA has been very privileged to have Candi as a volunteer on our board. Her passion, drive, consideration, and willingness has provided us much benefit. Candi uses most of her day to help whoever needs help. If there is ever a task that needs to be completed, Candi does not hesitate to offer her help. Candi also brings brightness and joy into any room she walks into which makes a day that much better for anyone she encounters.

Helen Macdonald: Grande Prairie Centre for New Comers

Grande Prairie Centre for New Comers nominates Helen Macdonald. Helen has been our volunteer for many years in a variety of roles. Currently one of her roles is as one of the facilitators for our Friday evening group for the Conversational English Club (this is in collaboration with the GP Public Library). Each week clients meet for 1 hour and 30 minutes to practice speaking English in a group setting through facilitated conversations. Not many are willing to give their Friday nights to volunteer but Helen does and always comes prepared with informative and fun activities.  She is an amazing facilitator and has just as much enthusiasm helping one participant as she does helping 10 participants! In addition to facilitating this club she also tutors English weekly to two of our clients who are newly arrived elementary students from Syria. This help has and will continue to have such a large positive impact on their lives. Helen does all of this work on top of her already busy life. There are not enough words to say how much we appreciate you Helen and do not know what we would do without you. Thank you so so much!
